Attractions are spread out so let say if 1 attraction is in downtown than the other attraction will be in deira or in Jebel ali hills etc .

Also for your info most of the hotels in downtown are expensive , the more nearer you stay to dubai mall and burj khalifa the more expensive.

Staying in deira, b- dubai or DT depends on your interest and your budget.like i said as all attractions are spreadout all over the city.

Something that id suggest if you can get any deal on Rove hotels than go for Rove Marina,

If you want to settle for downtown , than near downtown is Renaissance , JW Marquise Marriott and Steigenberger hotel..

Above 3 hotels are reasonably priced compare to other hotels in downtown…

If you opt for Deira than im q big fan of Rigga road ( As metro station , Al Ghurair mall , Bani yas square , souqs, abra and BDDs are in walking distance) and all Hyaatt hotels …
